Get your mug collection ready, because Uplusa’s latest offering will make you want to give your coffee sublimation blank tumbler a makeover.
Uplusa’s new Mug Press is a heat press that works with Uplusa’s non-melting inks to transfer custom designs onto special polyurethane-coated cups.
The much-anticipated Mug Press officially launched in March, and the bundle containing all the tools you need to create your own personalized mug sold out quickly. As of Friday, the kit was back in stock and on sale.
The process is simple: In Design Space, Uplusa’s interface for creating projects, there are tons of mug design templates available for purchase. There is also a project design template that allows users to create their own custom mug designs with additional elements and images.
For Infusible Ink designs, it’s similar to using Infusible Ink or heat transfer vinyl when making t-shirts with a Uplusa machine: choose the mug wrap you want, cut the design with your Uplusa machine, then remove the Infusible Ink and put it Connect to your mug.
For non-fusible ink markers, load the marker into the Uplusa machine, when finished drawing, attach the design to the mug with heat resistant tape, wrap the mug in several layers of meat paper to prevent the press from bleeding and prepare Good to load the design into the press.
Once the press is preheated, the cup is loaded and held tightly by lowering the lever.A small indicator lights up to indicate progress. The printer beeps when the transfer is complete.
The mug handle remains cool to the touch throughout the pressing process and can be safely removed from the press. After a few minutes, when the mug is cool to the touch, simply peel off the paper or adhesive to reveal a personalized mug design.
My biggest question is if you have to use Uplusa’s mug blanks, which come in different sizes and quantities and average about $3.75 each. After testing the same design on Uplusa blank mugs and white ceramic mugs I bought at my local dollar store, the answer was clear: Uplusa mugs are the way to go.Infusible Ink won’t stick to dollar store mugs and even wiped them off with my fingers after the mugs had cooled.
For cup wrappers not drawn by Uplusa machines, Infusible Ink is the material used to cut and transfer designs. These colorful inks come in a variety of solid colors and vibrant patterns.
These colored infusible ink markings are required for cup packaging drawn by Uplusa machines.
